Music is among the most important thngs in my life. I've managed and maintained a personal playlist for several years. It contains a few tracks from each of my favorite artists. I invite you to listen to it to get a sense for my vibe. I kick off the playlist when I have guests at the house. As my virtual guest, I invite you to listen and enjoy.

bourgogne cote chalonnaise pinot noir
This generally tastes like a Pinot Noir should but with a bit of a smoky, earthy finish. Not bad, not great - a decent wine on a Wednesday evening. I've got other Pinot Noirs in the bins that appeal to my palate at a slightly lower price. Probably won't buy it again.

the four graces pinot noir
This is one of my all-time favorite wines. It's from the Willamette Valley, it's a Pinot Noir, it tastes great, and it is reasonably priced! I typically keep a couple of bottles on hand and I was pleasantly surprised to find this at Costco at the low, low price of $20/bottle. I had a little extra room so I picked up a few more bottles. I opened a bottle tonight to accompany a rotisserie chicken and as always, couldn't be happier with the pairing. A case can be made that this wine punches above the weeknight wine weight class but at the Costco price this is a great every day wine!

pinot nero – antonutti
As I'm so fond of saying, I'm constantly in search of the perfect Pinot Noir while secretly hoping I never find it. This isn't it, but it's an acceptable wine to drink with leftovers on a Tuesday night. As the website says, the Antonutti Pinot Nero is a "warm and balanced" wine. The finish was a bit flat at first but it got better after breathing for a bit. I don't typically, but the weeknight wines will likely benefit from decanting so I'm going to dust off the decanter for my next experiment. I enjoyed this wine at room temperature and it got better glass over glass.
